New! Fremm Fest '06

Fremm Fest- Take two!! This was our second time at the festival, and it was fun (but very warm! ick!).
We had the perfect spot and met many interesting people.

Here is our booth- It's cute!

We made a bolder sign than last year so people from far away could see it.

This year we also sold a different variety of products-
iPod cozies, record bowls, and vinyl bracelets- in addition to the custom buttons, totes, hats, and earrings from years past.

Even with the heat, a lot of people came to the festival to see the bands, the art, and the various merch.
And many of them were very stylish.
They had painting spaces- people could buy a space and go creative on it.

These guys from Louse Clothing painted a mural. We watched them the whole day, we had a perfect view.

Here is a step-by-step of their work.

Amazing, no?

Chicago- November '05

I went to Chicago, IL to attend a conference held by the National Scholastic Press Association.

I got to learn about typography, photography, and graphic design.

The city is BEAUTIFUL.

The buildings are so inspiring.

We ate at this restuarant, Gino's East.

The food was pretty good, but the atmosphere was my favorite part.

You were encouraged to write on the walls.

(I did!)

Millenium Park is a new park in Chi-town.

It was so fun!
We took a lot of great pics.

Overall, I had a blast.

Fremm Fest '05

Gila purchased a booth and, with two dear friends, had a blast. We sold earrings, totes, and (of course) buttons- custom and premade.

Here is a poster from the event. it was fun listening to all of the awesome bands (some of the members were in my classes! and some bought buttons!)

My faves- Brigma & Rudecha, Vagenius

This is my booth. Isn't it cool?
They did this at the park! it was interesting to watch, we had no idea what it was going to be when it was done.
There were two stages. This is at the end of the day, so the mood was a little less energetic and perfect for the mellow music from Vagenius (on stage).

This robot is just fun.
It was part of the many art pieces on display.
